Past & Present
On Monday our class (Room 1) went to the technology museum. Mrs Torry came in on Tuesday after we went to the museum and did cybersmart with us. I enjoyed finding images from the past and present that told us all about technology and how it was used. I found it challenging to work out what the images were of the things from the past because it was hard to recognise what they were used for. My digital learning object shows I can analyse and synthesis the images from the past when I worked out what they were all about.

We cannot take our lives for granted
Do you think we take our lives for granted? I think we do because we live in a safe country with No war and here in New Zealand we live fortunate lives which means we often take our lives for granted. Our lives can change in a matter of seconds. Which we have all experienced this year due to covid.
Firstly, if you didn’t know what it means to take our lives for granted I am talking about the fact that we have access to clean drinking water and fresh food.We all know that covid 19 is a horrible virus and it has affected millions of families around the world. On the plus side due to people being in lock down and living differently the environment in many places has had an opportunity to rejuvenate itself, for example, It has cleaned up the dirty waters in Venice, canals in italy. However if we don't make lasting changes this will quickly return to normal and the earth we live on will continue to get more and more polluted. Let's not take the earth we live on for granted.
Many of us may take our lives for granted lIke I said here in New Zealand we live in a safe country and we can walk home because we don't really have harmful people around. One of the things I like about New Zealand is we don't have war unlike in some other countries like Iran, Israel, and the United State. Iran is at war because Iran repeated the human rights abuse since the Islamic Revolution.
Secondly, I urge you to believe that sometimes not only do we take the life of our planet for granted, we may also take our own lives for granted and we don't even know it. Sometimes I feel like I've taken my own life for granted but I didn't actually realise until now because I researched it and I found it very interesting.
. Lastly, I would like to talk about having a loving family. My loving family provides me a bed, food, water, and especially love, kindness, all of those things that I need.
In Conclusion there is no question that we take our lives for granted because we live in a safe country, life is the most special gift of all that God has gifted us with. Hopefully I have convinced you to not take your life for granted.
